Q. How will the tape quality be on my transferred material?
A. Only as good as the original.
Q . What is the turn around time on reel transfers?
A . Typically it takes 5-10 business days, depending on how many feet
of film you have. All reels submitted by November 1st, 2006,
receive a 5% discount.
Q . How much recording times does a DVD hold and what happens if my footage is too large to fit on 1 DVD?
A . Each DVD holds two hours of media. When you place your order, you
can decide if you want to create 2 or 3 DVD's and where to divide the
footage.
Q. How do I take care of my 8mm & Super8 film and how can I tell if they're deteriating?
A . Cleaning your film is vital to the life of your movies. If
you see a powder-like residue or smell something that resembles
vinegar, it's probably mold, and has already begun to break down the
film, deteriating it. All reels should be kept in a cool dry
place, at a temperature of about 75 degrees F. There is a reel cleaning solution that can be ordered online, or you can use regular ole pledge, a household staple.
Q . Do you transfer slides to CD?
A . Yes. We scan slides in the highest resolution and burn them to a CD
for you to take to any 1 hour photo lab (Wal-mart/Wolf Camera) and have
developed in any size.
Q. Can you add footage or reels to a scrapbook video? A. Yes.
